AusCare Psychology

Legal

Terms of service.

These terms apply to your use of the AusCare Psychology website and to booking and attending our telehealth psychology services. By using this website or booking a session, you agree to these terms. AusCare Psychology Pty Ltd (ABN [ABN to be confirmed]) provides these services.

Our services

AusCare provides psychology services by secure video, delivered by psychologists who hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Our services are for children aged seven and over, adolescents and adults. They are supportive and therapeutic, and they are not a crisis or emergency service.

Booking, fees and payment

You can book online through our practice software. Our current fees are set out on our fees page, and payment is processed securely at or around the time of your session through our practice software. Where you have a valid GP referral and mental health treatment plan, you may claim a Medicare rebate on eligible individual sessions; the rebate is a part-payment and you pay the gap. Each psychologist bills under their own Medicare provider number. We do not bulk bill.

Cancellations and missed appointments

We understand that things come up. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please give us at least [awaiting Maneet: for example 48] hours’ notice so we can offer the time to someone else. Cancellations with less notice, or missed appointments, may incur a fee of [awaiting Maneet], which is not covered by a Medicare rebate. Our cancellation policy is administered through our practice software.

Telehealth, suitability and your responsibilities

Telehealth suits most people and most of the work we do. To attend, you need a private space, a reasonable internet connection, and a device with a camera. You are responsible for being in a suitable, private location for your session. If at any point your psychologist considers that an in-person or different service would better suit your needs, they will discuss this with you. Our services are not suitable for emergencies or acute crises. If you are in crisis, call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14, any time.
